In 2010 the Federal Government eliminated the Federal Leveraging Education Assistance Partnership (LEAP) Grant. With the elimination of the Federal LEAP Program the Special Leveraging Education Assistance Partnership (SLEAP) grant was also eliminated.
Students who previously qualified for and received SLEAP funds are encouraged to review the grant description and minimum qualifications for the new College Access Challenge Last Stretch Scholarship as this is a similar program to SLEAP. Students who meet the minimum criteria are encouraged to apply. Funding is limited and awarded to eligible students on a first-come, first-served basis so it is important that you apply early in order to receive maximum consideration.
